Used front crossmember bolt for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. It is crucial that you use this correct tapered bolt when installing the front cross member.

Bolt kit for installing front sway bar clamps to the body for any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. 3/8" bolts for 1967-68 cars. Starting in 1969, the bolt size was changed to 5/16". This size of bolt is obviously stronger and can be used on all cars 1967-73.

This kit is good for cowls with moderate to minimal rust. Easy to install on the driver side, but takes more effort on the passenger side especially if you have A/C. Another way to avoid doing expensive cowl repairs is to purchase our cowl cover.
