1971 Mercury Cougar

Used lower steering column shaft for 70 - 73 Cougars and Mustangs with a fixed column. Identified by length, and the round style lower flange. 1968-69 lower flange is slightly smaller with flat sides. Overall length is 16-3/8 inches.

Used lower steering column shaft for 71 - 72 Cougars and Mustangs with a tilt column. These little rivets are used to affix the ID tag to the passenger side of the 3 and 4 speed top-loader transmissions. Most tags are held in place by two rivets but on some only two are used from the factory.

Reproduction two tab power window switch for the master switch panel on the drivers door of mid 1970-72 cars. Research shows this switch was used in the master control panel on the drivers side door. With the mid to late1970-1972 and later power window systems. This little switch is mounted on the back side of your interior temperature control panel on most 1969-72 Ford products. It energizes the A/C pump when you move the the knob to the "A/C" position. Correct dimensions and easy to install. Starting sometime in 1972, this switch was incorporated with the vacuum selector manifold. This is part of the switch assembly C9ZZ-19B888-A.

This unique gasket is only slightly different from the driver side. The angle at the front is just a little different and notice it does not have a hole drilled for the remote mirror cable used on the driver side. Used distributor modulator upper speedometer cable for 1971 - 1973 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with the FMX or automatic transmission. Cable that connects the back of the speedometer and the speed sensor of the modulation system. Shown to be 10.54 inches long. 

Designed as a direct-fit OE-style replacement, this modulator valve will fit directly into the factory location of your current Cougar or Mustang valve. Also known as the throttle valve, this valve controls vacuum to the transmission as you press the gas pedal, and it will apply higher control pressure for better quality shifts at higher RPMs.
