These off-shore Magnum wheels are supplied to us by Scott Drake. We no longer carry the US made version as the quality was VERY inconsistent. This wheel has a 4 1/4" backspace. We now have Magnum 500 caps that feature the Mercury Logo and the walking cat caps as well. Center caps and lugs are sold separate. These are best suited for 1971-73 Cougars. To run a tire larger than a 225/60/15 you may have to modify your fenders and quarters.
NOTE! These wheels are intended to be balanced with a lugcentric adapter. They will not balance with a traditional cone spacer on the tire spin balancer. Many tire shops do not deal with classics and do not have the right attachment. If you attempt to balance these wheels without the correct adapter they will resemble a bent wheel.
Below are pictures of a 1972 Cougar with 15x7 Magnums wearing 235/60/15's in front and 15x8 in the rear wearing 245/60/15's.
