This cup holder fits snug into the ashtray receptacle in your 71, 72 or 73 Mustang or Cougar center console. Simply remove the metal ashtray from your center console and insert this into its place. Very useful cup holder that does not require modification to take in and out.

This cup holder is designed for 12oz cans or 20oz plastic bottles.
Because of the shallow design (only 1.5" deep) many travel mugs and some drive thru cups are not stable when put into this cup holder. These are great if you want to sip on your favorite 12oz can of cola while going for a drive, but a Venti (20oz) Starbucks might end up in your lap.
