This is the correct, original cover for your 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and 1971-73 Ford Mustang antenna. The Ford MPC calls this part a cap, it is the stainless steel rectangular piece of trim that goes on top of your factory antenna base. These are angled, so watch the orientation when installing. These snap into place on the OEM factory installed antenna base. Used gasket also available.Replaces Ford part number C5AA-18A927-A.
