Aftermarket clip for attaching the long black plastic rear bumper filler on any 1971-73 Mercury Cougar. A total of 8 clips are needed to attach the rear bumper filler. Most have either broken with age, or have broken during the removal of the filler. Sold individually.
This item holds the release bale to the upper knuckle. It is different than the 67 - 69 clip although both can be used. *NOTE* For tilt column service, you can contact Tony Augustine at 6t8cougarguy@gmail.com. These original hood blanket clips grip much better than the reproductions. Usually there were 10-11 of these clips used but it can vary from car to car as they tended to be inconsistent at the factory on how many of the available holes they actually stuck a clip into. Sold Individually.
