    Updated to show this is Pertronix model 40011, which is the 1.5ohm.

    can this coil be used simply as a replacement to the stock coil with no other modifications to the stock ignitions system? thank you!

    Yes, it can be used with stock systems, but be aware that it does produce a lot more energy and could result in damage in the long run.
