Description

D1AZ-9D653-A Canister filled with charcoal or carbon particulates. Mounts in the corner of the passenger side apron and firewall.

*Note - These are 40 year old canisters, at this late stage the filtering ability of the particulates are probably not that effective for pollution testing. Primarily sold for concours judging.

Will this, along with the mounting bracket, also fit onto a 1972 F100. In 1972 F100 manuals, the canister is part #9D653 and the bracket is #9D664. Thanks!

The part numbers you provided are simply the part class, not the full part number. The full part number should look something like this: D1AZ-9D653-A. Without the full part number we cannot confirm if the Cougar used the same part or not. I did a quick search on Google and found this:

"Apparently the Mustang and cougars used the same canister [ as the 1971 f100 with 240/300 engine].

Not sure if the 71 and 72 f100 are the same or not.
