C9ZE-9600-E Air cleaner base for the 1968 and early 1969 R code 428 Cobra Jet engine option. Additionally one way to identify this air cleaner is the dimple that clears the rear float screw found on the factory Holley carburetor. Polished billet aluminum hood hinges that replace the factory hood hinges and springs with a hydraulic strut hinge.  Comes with medium duty struts for fiberglass hoods or heavy duty struts for factory / repro steel hoods.  Mounts using the same holes as the factory hood hinges with the included mounting hardware.

Good working clutch showing no signs of leaking, we are unable to warranty these units. Note, we have high quality generic versions of this clutch that some will place on their cars to preserve the life of the originals. When storing one of these units off the car always store them face down to prevent fluid loss.

These were installed at the factory on 390 / 427 / 428 equipped cars that were exported to countries that did not require the smog system. They are much shorter than the over the Ford counter service plugs you see in the states that are put on after one removes the smog system.

INC. lettering and FoMoCo insignia at the top driver side. This was one of the last units out the door when FORD discontinued them in the 1990's.
