Single cylinder head from 1968 Mercury Cougar 302-4V engines with smog. Sold as a core, needs thorough cleaning and rebuilding prior to use. The 'with smog' cylinder heads would have been found on 3 and 4 speed manual transmission cars. They came drilled and tapped for thermactor smog systems. Typically this cylinder head has 1.78 and 1.45 inch valves, and the chambers measure out at 52-55 cc's. With stock pistons, these heads will net an approximate compression ration of 9.5:1.
Basic cylinder head number is 6090. Several Ford casting numbers were used, including the common C8OE-D and "302" and "4-V".
These weigh 53 lbs. each, and cannot be combined with other items unless shipping truck freight.
