1969-70 actually used a star head bolt but these are a much more user friendly screw that will work in its place. Sold in a set of four which is what you will need for one seat.

Driver side seat back release assembly, can me used for a conversion of 1970 high-backed seat backs for use in 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator and Ford Mustang Mach 1. This assembly has the release lever mounted nearly at shoulder level, factory 1970 high backs have the latch release at the hinge. Both deluxe and standard use the same retractor in 1968 - 1969 and left is the same design as right. Grade "A" retractors will show no fading or cracks on the holster / retractor cover, good chrome buckle and may even still have the date code tag sewn in place. Attaches to the console shifter bezel on any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. We occasionally have these available when we get broken console bezels. This surround or "U" plate was originally attached with heat to pin connectors. To reattach we suggest using glue. This sound deadener is comprised of one layer of tar sound deadener and a layer of Jute. Perfect condition with no fading, scratches or dents. When the emblem is pulled, you will see minimal difference between the area that has been covered for decades and the area that has been exposed. Very rare find indeed!

A grade pad has not shrunk to the point that the center section will not fit well, it will not be curling and overall will be pliable. We rarely have more than a couple colors on hand but if you state your preference in the comments section we will try to accommodate.
