Used T shift handle, originally an over the counter Mercury dress-up accessory. The only Cougars that came from the factory with this real wood shifter were the 1970 Eliminator and 1968 XR7-G. The XR7-G used a gold Cougar "Walking Cat" emblem and the 1970 Eliminator used the silver emblem.
NOTE: The chrome center of the handle has been re-chromed. Also, the emblem and wooden handle ends will not be glued together, assembly will be required.
