This product is an NOS Part. NOS items are OEM parts from Ford that have been sitting on shelves or in warehouses for years. These are often great examples of the orignal parts, but they may have scratches or other shelf wear.

However be aware that some NOS parts are "service replacement" parts. "Service replacement" parts are not exact replacements of the parts that were installed at the factory, but are what Ford considered as "good enough" and were used at Ford dealerships after the original supply of parts was exhausted.

We often leave NOS product listings on our website after they sell for reference purposes.

New Old Stock Ford bracket with attaching parts. Repairs the Passenger Side bucket inner seat pivot. Ford service replacement part D7ZZ-69618C47-A.

A very common breaking point on the upper portion of the driver side inner, can now be easily repaired. If you have a '68 or '69 Cougar or Mustang, check the driver seat back attachment for the recall / campaign fix. There should be a heavy bracket secured by a bolt over the seat back attachment. There is a heavy pin on this bracket that forms the pivot for the seat back when positioned forward. This bracket carries a D7AA-69618C47-A or D7ZZ-69618C47-A service replacement part number. Without this bracket, the front seat back pivot can break, allowing the seat back to fall rearward. Losing control this way leads to the sort of excitement you want to avoid! If you drive the car, put the bracket on soon! If you are selling the vehicle, at least inform the new owner of the situation.

Here's a helpful article on the seat back fix:

Also, here is the recall information about the 1969 Mustang & Cougar seats. This was issued in March of 1977:
