This desirable option was used only on the driver side seat of the LATE 71-73 Cougar and Mustang. This is for seats that have the seat release knobs on the outsides of the seats. These 1969 molded vinyl, single post head rests were never offered on a Cougar or Mustang to our knowledge but they make a great "go-around" for the very expensive 1968 dual post headrests. To use them on your 1968 Cougar you will first need a pair of 1969 bucket seats as they have the internal hardware to accept the post. 1968 was a weak design so the 1969 seat frame is a nice upgrade and of course will accept any of the 1968 foam and interior kits. We found that the plastic adjustment clip can break easily on these reproductions, so consider buying a good used original Ford part instead, for around the same price. Find it here.
