1967 - 1968 Headrests / Parts

These 1969 molded vinyl, single post head rests were never offered on a Cougar or Mustang to our knowledge but they make a great "go-around" for the very expensive 1968 dual post headrests. To use them on your 1968 Cougar you will first need a pair of 1969 bucket seats as they have the internal hardware to accept the post. 1968 was a weak design so the 1969 seat frame is a nice upgrade and of course will accept any of the 1968 foam and interior kits. Single used post for 1968 dual post head rest. Sold individually, two used per head rest. Ambidextrous, can go on either side, notches to the inside. Comes as shown, chromed rod, nut and lock washer. Fits any 1968 Ford with dual post headrests.  

Used bezel for the dual head rest found in the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. This bezel measures 3 1/2" long and is correct for all 1968 models that use this part (including Shelby and Ford Mustang except the XR7 Mercury Cougar. Due to extra thick seat foam, the XR7 uses a taller bezel. Good used part with no peeling chrome or obvious cracks (may have hairline crack in threaded area). According to the 1968 Cougar assembly manual the Ford part number is C8ZB-65610B10. This part has an adjustment to fine tune the headrest post alignment.

Good used headrest with no mounting hardware included. No cracks. We never have more than one of these in stock as a single so we most likely will not be able to produce the color of your choice but it never hurts to ask! Basic Ford part number for this item is C8AB-62611-A08. The "08" suffix part of the number may refer to a specific color.
