1973 Mercury Cougar

These 73 side fillers are made of a rubber material as opposed to plastic like the 71-72. 1973 is also different than 71-72 in that 1973 brought about new federal crash requirements. The 73 model has the bumper spaced further out which makes all three of the rear bumper fillers wider. 1973 has longer rear bumper brackets than 1971-72. Mercury master part number D3WY-17C838-A, also called a deflector, would be painted body color.
