During installation, check for proper alignment with trunk latch. Trunk latch and striker should engage smoothly, both items are adjustable. We only save the rust free latches with no wear or rust, the rest are tossed. Fits 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Ford part number D1AZ-6543252-A.
