This is an OEM original with 3/8"-16 threads. Overall length according to the MPC is 9 inches, with 3-1/4 inches being threaded but we have found almost without fail, the actual length is 8" with 3 1/4" of threads. We also carry the OEM hold down wing nut or spinner nut Mercury Cougar part number B9AZ-1462-A. Additionally, look for the wheel centering plate or disc, part number C5ZZ-1424-A. Item for sale in this section is only the J-bolt.

Steel plate for mounting the door pull or grab handle on 1967-68 Mercury Cougar XR7. Right and left is dependent upon which way the nylon inserts are installed. Comes complete as shown with nylon inserts for attaching the door pulls. The screws with 1/2 inch flat head for mounting this plate to the doors are also a available (three required).

3 1/8" Style Steel Wheel Spare Tire Hold Down. Available in Black or Chrome. Ford Master Parts Catalog indicates that this hold down was found on some 68 and 69 Cougars with SS Wheels. This reproduction cowl vent repair panel for the passenger side (right hand) of the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang addresses a common problem with these old Cats and Ponies. Front guide that measures 10 5/8" long held in place by four screws. The driver side has no markings but the passenger side is stamped with an R and the inner 2 screw holes are in a different place than the driver.
