1968 Ford Mustang

NOS new old stock vacuum motor, for early 1968 air cleaner snorkels. Up until about April 1968, the air cleaner snorkels were vacuum operated for the trap door going to the exhaust heat riser. Tested as working. Fits a wide variety of Ford cars in 1968. Don't forget to save the heavy washer that goes over the shaft from your old assembly. Ford part number C8AZ-9D612-A.

New intake manifold that has never been used, but it's missing the packaging, so we're calling it an "out of box special". Port size is for the 2V cylinder heads. Perfect for adding a 4 barrel carburetor to a stock 351 Cleveland 2V engine.

Good used tray that is not currently reproduced. Most people prefer the group 24 battery but for those that want to keep it very original, this is getting to be a hard to find part with no rot (will show pitting). Many that are not rotted have been cut to accept a group 24.

Used bezel for the dual head rest found in the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. This bezel measures 3 1/2" long and is correct for all 1968 models that use this part (including Shelby and Ford Mustang except the XR7 Mercury Cougar. C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. Bolts into place with 6 hex bolts 3/8-16 x 1-1/8" with washers. These were painted satin black from the factory. As you look at our picture below you will see the repro is about half the thickness. The repro is different in every detail but will work. We also have used plates with minor damage at a reduced cost.

These are about half the weight of originals and do not look correct in any way. They are far better than nothing. Inner front bolt, long length to clear sound deadener. Used in conjunction with a thick, gold spacer washer.

Rear seat belt bolt, four per car used in conjunction with two red washer / spacers. 13/16" hex head, 1-1/4 inch bolt with a 3/16 inch shoulder. Can be either smooth headed or have a Heavy or Light "A". There is another version of this same bolt with a smooth head and no markings.

These courtesy light brackets are located on the very outer right and left under the dash. Typically this bracket is found on the driver side of all 1967-68 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. It is also used on the passenger side if you have air conditioning. This is the short style bracket. For any 1967 or 1968 Cougar with either a 289 or 302 engine. Virtually the same bracket as for the 1969 351W engine. For any year 1967 1968 1969 1970 Mercury Cougar with an FE 390, 427, or 428CJ engine. Identified by the round dimple stamped into it. Compare the OEM used part price to the reproduction part. For restoration purposes, this bracket was factory painted satin black.

Reproduction bracket for mounting the rear axle flexible brake hose. From the factory, these brackets were welded in. Double check your placement for your particular year, when welding the bracket to your car. Has correct "D" shaped hole for indexing the flexible brake hose to rear axle. Replaces Ford part number C7ZZ-2A051-A.

The originals hang at a slightly different angle than the reproductions. Comes as shown with original rubber insulator. New rubber available upon request. Two of these little plastic protectors came on Mercury Cougars and Ford Mustangs equipped with Air Conditioning. They are affixed to the front cross member using the same bolts that holds your condenser in place. Their purpose was to protect the wiring harness from potential damage if the car were to get into a collision. This flexible vinyl cover attaches to the upright brackets that mount your center fold down arm rest. The number stamped on the back for the cover closest to the driver is C5ZB-6561693-BW. If yours is other than black in color the BW will be something else. Very rare part that is difficult to obtain.
