    Housing overall width - 54-1/4 inches flange to flange. Spring perches are 43 inches apart on center.

    Bare housing with proper axle pad spacing, vent location, and brake line attaching. For all 1968 big block Cougars. Over-sized shipping length. Also has little differences in the housing early to late. Feb 1968, the brake hose mounting hole moved for staggered shocks, for use with 4 speed 428CJ's.

    Ford part # C8ZZ-4010-C.

    Axles needed: Passenger side - 31-1/8 inches long, Driver side 27 inches long.

    *Tip* If you are looking to strengthen your 1967-68 Cougar or Mustang with a 9 inch rear end, consider buying our used assembly from a 1969 or 1970. Everything bolts in the and looks nearly the same.
