    Many used items in our pictures have been cleaned and/or bead blasted prior to being photographed to show condition and detail. 

    The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned. 

    We do not retake pictures each time a used item sells. Pictures are a good indicator of what you will receive, but not all used parts age the same. On high dollar parts, email us and we can send a few pictures of the actual part available.

     If we use the word "Core" in the title of the product, the item has been deemed rebuildable, but has not been rebuilt.  The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned.

    Bare housing with proper axle pad spacing for all 1967-1968 Cougars with 289 or 302 engines. Over-sized shipping length. Housing overall width - 54-1/4 inches flange to flange. Spring perches are 43 inches apart on center.

    This axle housing was used starting about mid 1967. It does not have the fill plug in the rear of the housing. 

    * Important - Please check your car to verify that your 8 inch third member has a fill plug.

    Replaces Ford part number C7ZZ-4010-E.
