    C5OP-7976-A Aluminum bell housing, sometimes called a converter housing in the Ford shop manual. 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar with any 289 or 302 engine and automatic C4 transmission, code W on your door tag. 1967 - 1972 Ford Mustang with 250, 289, or 302 engine and automatic C4 transmission, code W on your door data plate. Fits the 157 tooth flex plates. There was a 164 tooth flex plate that came later.

    NOTE * Grade B bell housing will have a chip or heavy scarring on the bottom, see photo example of common chip.
