Used bezel for the dual head rest found in the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. This bezel measures 3 1/2" long and is correct for all 1968 models that use this part (including Shelby and Ford Mustang except the XR7 Mercury Cougar. Due to extra thick seat foam, the XR7 uses a taller bezel. Good used part with no peeling chrome or obvious cracks (may have hairline crack in threaded area). Ford originally had a special tool for installing and removing these guide sleeves. Ford tool division was known as Rotunda. Down deep near the threads is a molded hex shape that allowed a tool to tighten without putting stress on the flat mushroom top. Something similar could be made from a correct length and sized bolt.
