This kit is actually our straight grain end cap set, but we include the burl applique decals for you to change out, simply remove the straight grain decals and insert the burl decals. Great quality reproduction of the interior door strap (grab handle) end cap hardware. If you have a 67 the woodgrain decals are the correct size, the 68 uses a little different design with a black border which is not available new. The woodgrain is not correct for either 67 or 68. We would highly recommend getting our burl wood applique, it is still not correct, but is much closer and nicer than the woodgrain this comes with. Grade A used door pull from a 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 with trim code 6Y, Nugget Gold color. 

Pair of reproduction door pull straps for the 1969 - 1970 Mercury Cougar. Keep in mind that between 69 and 70 there were two different versions of each color. For example, 1969 had the dark green and 1970 had a lighter green...so be sure to order the correct year!

These weigh .50 pounds each, exactly as the originals do. Just like the originals, these are very prone to scratches and dents, even letting your seat belt fall will mark them up. Although these sill plates are better than our economy version, we still rate them below OEM which was also prone to damaging easily.  We HIGHLY recommend the stainless version we sell. Ford never made these in stainless but what a great upgrade! The advantage we see with these is that they do not dent or scratch as easy when you release your seat belt. They also can be polished easily (unlike anodized aluminum). These weigh 1.5 pounds each, triple of what the originals weigh. The repro version of this grille is very good, so the only reason you would buy used is if you want a certain color (reproductions only come in black) or if you only needed one side.
