Many of our customers have asked and requested how we clean and detail our parts. We use a combination of items, mostly fine steel wool and elbow grease. Cleans haze, crud, and years of oxidation and water spots from glass, aluminum, chrome, and rubber. 16 individual pads in a package.

This reproduction steering wheel is a replica of the wood rimmed steering wheel originally equipped on 1967 Shelby GT350's and GT500's. This is a restored 1968 steering wheel that is correct for all but the later production, standard interior equipped 1968 Cougars. Only the XR7 & XR7G received the woodgrain center section, the decor and standard interior equipped Cougars received a color coded to the wheel vinyl insert. B grade pad has shrunk to the point that the center section will not fit well and you may have to file some of the plastic away for a proper fit, it will be curling a little at the top where it meets the wheel and overall will be rather hard from UV exposure. Additionally, it may show some signs of wear to the texture of the graining. If you state your preference in the comments section we will try to accommodate you on color.

Reproduction Two Spoke Steering Wheel Pad for the 1968 Mercury Cougar

This is the 1968 Cougar visor bracket. Not an exact match for 1971 - 1973, but will work. The hole spacing and distance from the windshield is identical to that on the 71-73, the bracket is just 1/8" longer on the side that actually holds the visor tip. These spacer / washers were used on the rear belts of 1968 - 1973 Cougars. 1968 used two per bolt for a total of eight, 69-71 used one per rear belt for a total of four and 72-73 used one per belt on the inner only as the outer belts had a re-tractor in the rear 72-73. They were red to guide the line workers on placement.

Aqua windlace or pinch weld moulding for any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with factory console. Two of these short trim parts were fit to the very top of the plastic console base where the console meets the lower dash of your car. If these two parts are not in place you will have a gap.
