This is actually not correct for a 1968 but it is all that is available in reproduction. The 1968 front is actually the same 4 1/4" length as the rear. For 1968 Ford standardized or changed all of the J-bolt threads to the beefier 1/2"-13. We have noted two variations of this wing nut. The most obvious identifier between the two is the tabs in the center. The majority have these tabs present, the minority do not. 100% complete top frame as removed from a 69 - 70 Cougar. These tops are identical to Mustang with the exception of the rear bow being slightly higher on a Cougar. We carefully break this down by removing the header and crossbows and placing the original bolts back in the holes. Once you get this from UPS it will be very evident how it goes back together.

Used door window stop, cover plate, for any 1969-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. These were originally painted body color, and were laid on either inside the front cowl or the package tray for painting. The one for the doors is roughly 25/32" x 3-3/8 inches long, the holes are 5/16, and the spacing is 1-25/32 on center to match the stop. Replaces Ford part number C9ZZ-65234A30-A.
