    Description

This concours correct reproduction weatherstrip is for the perimeter of the doors on the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. This set has the door to back of door glass seal bonded to the end of the strips and will need to be glued in place. This Daniel Carpenter manufactured unit is made of slightly less dense material than the Midland unit, .75lb as compared to .85lb. If correctness is not an issue for you, you can get the Midland unit here. We have included a few comparison pictures so that you can make an informed decision. Sold as a pair and includes the metal fasteners.

Also sold by Daniel Carpenter is the offshore version which has been known to fit a little better than the US made version.

Very nice weather strip. Fit perfectly--just be careful not to stretch it when installing. Needs adhesive to keep it in place. Seems to be a high quality product.

    WCCC Admin Answered:
There are several versions of this seal available, this is the closest one available to the original. This one is using the original Ford tooling. If this is the one CJ is selling, it should have the Licensed by Ford logo on their page and on the packaging.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...
