    Description

Eight piece kit that includes inner and outer belt-line for both door and quarter glass. This kit contains enough to do both pieces of door and quarter glass. These strips run horizontally against your glass and keep water and debris from entering your rear quarter panels and doors causing them to rust out. These kits include the correct stainless steel trim on the interior side strips. Old belt-lines will become hard and trap grit causing your glass to get heavy vertical scratches. You can cause hundreds and even thousands of dollars of damage by not replacing these, please do not wait until "someday" when you get around to painting your car. It may be too late!

    Pros:
    • Matches
    Cons:
    • Clips
    • Fit
    • Wavy

Front ones went in easy enough. the passenger side fit perfectly, thought a project on this car would be easy for once... but then the driver side was a bit of work, the clips did not line up and there is a bit of wave in the installed strip.

The rear passenger windows have improper clips. May just be my coupe but the clips present do not go to anything with respect to the car see photos. There are, what I assume, screw holes in the kit that line up with the clips holes on the car but I cannot be sure. I bought this car without exterior strips installed so I'm having to do a decent bit of guess work.

Overall, it's better than nothing, but for the price and having to still do a bit of fabrication it's disappointing. I still haven't figured what I'll do with the rear passenger sides, but as all us owners do, we'll figure something out.

    WCCC Response:

The location of these staples varied from car to car.  These kits come with the staples in the most frequently found positions.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...

I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...
