Installed in Sept 2018. Yes, they are stiffer than stock but they will soften up in use. Some "authority" needed to shut door but slamming not required. Replacing the door weather-strip at the same time will require more force to close the door so don't falsely attribute that to the A-pillar seal. In general, if you have a convertible, you are just going to have to get used to a few compromises and many dozens of hours of adjustment. The water/air sealing from the stock Ford equipment in 1969 wasn't exactly perfect. Made in USA and I would not hesitate to use again.
