Used grade "A" pair of XR7 door panels for the Mercury Cougar. Keep in mind you would not want to paint these panels if at all possible as they have streaks of black in them that cannot easily be duplicated. Black panels would be the exception. You may consider buying our grade "B" door over our grade "A" door if you are doing a high end restoration. Here is the reasoning; due to the design of the 69-70 door, silt is trapped in all of the door corners, these tight recesses always have silt collected in them and when you add moisture you get corrosion. Our grade "A" doors do not have noticeable blisters but since there is no paint or sound deadener in the depths of the corners we know there is some amount of corrosion taking place...

These weigh .50 pounds each, exactly as the originals do. Just like the originals, these are very prone to scratches and dents, even letting your seat belt fall will mark them up. Although these sill plates are better than our economy version, we still rate them below OEM which was also prone to damaging easily.  We HIGHLY recommend the stainless version we sell. These are the same left to right, convertible or coupe. These appear to be made from the same thickness of aluminum as original and weigh .44 pounds as opposed to .50 for the originals but the aluminum used is not nearly the quality of originals. You can literally mutilate these parts with your fingers as you would an aluminum can. We recommend the premium quality sills. These are a poor reproduction that will not hold up well over time, we cannot recommend this part. We HIGHLY recommend...

Sold individually, prior to purchase you will have to email us for colors on hand, as we do not have very many in top condition. The repro version of this grille is very good, so the only reason you would buy used is if you want a certain color (reproductions only come in black) or if you only needed one side.

Economy quality door speaker covers made from plastic injection. This version does not have a metal grille, the entire grille is made of plastic. In most situations we would recommend the Premium version as it has metal grilles; the all plastic version will cover the hole and will look correct if you don't inspect them closely, but is much easier to accidentally punch a hole in and will not stand up as well over time. Very nice reproduction, silver zinc finish like original. Correct texture and even an original type date stamped on the head. Comes complete with striker plate, shim, and screws. The only difference between the 67 Cougar and the 68 - 70 is that the 67 came with the 8-66 date stamp, the rest came with the 11-67 date stamp. This is the gear on the upper side of the gearbox. The cables go over each side of the gear.NOTE: Be sure the gear is in good condition so your cables don't get worn out!

This shim, also referenced to as washers, goes in the clutch portion of the drive gearbox to properly adjust the friction. Three shims (plus a hand crank) were originally supplied with sunroof cars.

Front guide that measures 10 5/8" long held in place by four screws. The driver side has no markings but the passenger side is stamped with an R and the inner 2 screw holes are in a different place than the passenger.

No... Mercury never made an emblem "just" like this one but demand dictated we produce it! This emblem has a 3M adhesive backing and looks and measures just like a 1968 quarter panel script or the front fender script found on a 1971 - 1973.
