1967 Mercury Cougar

Application 1967 - 1968 - 1969 Cougar with either 289 / 302 / 351w engines with air conditioning. After 9-11-66. Casting number 7AD. 5" diameter and a 3/8" sheave width.

Application 289/390 engines without air conditioning. Casting number AC 4-7/8" diameter and a 7/16" sheave width.

Application could be for any 1967-69 Ford 289 / 302 /351W, but with only a single alternator belt. This is a copy of the Ford 7AA power steering pulley. This pulley mounted correctly on an OEM pump with factory brackets, will run on the second V-belt from the inside. The inner most fan belt runs the alternator. You would be using a single belt on the alternator. Correct application is for 1969 with 351W engines. 5-1/4" diameter and 3/8" sheave width.

Application 390 engines without air conditioning but with a dual belt alternator. Casting number AG 4-5/8" diameter and a 7/16" sheave width. This is an increasingly difficult pulley to find these days. A good option is the 6AA pulley. The size difference is less than 1/8" and you cannot visually tell the difference.

Application, 1967 - 1968 - 1969 - 1970 390 / 428CJ engines with air conditioning. Casting number AF. 5-3/4" diameter and 5/16" sheave width.

Application 289-4V auto and 289-2V manual transmissions at the beginning of the 1967 model year. Pulley diameter 4 inches, 1967 smog pulleys are unique in that they have 4 mounting holes. Ford part number C6OZ-9B447-A and engineering number is C6OE-9B447-A or B. *California DSO 52 and DSO 53 only.

Pulley diameter 3.97 inches, 1967 smog pulleys are unique in that they have 4 mounting holes. Application all 390-4V engines with and without air conditioning. 289-2V and 289-4V all with air conditioning. Pulley diameter is 5.95 inches 1967 smog pulleys are unique in that they have 4 mounting holes. C5AZ-8509-J For use originally on 1967 289 engines without power accessories. No air conditioning, no power steering, and standard 1 sheave alternators. For use originally on 1967 289 engines with California emissions (All 1967 DSO 52 and 53 Mercury Cougars), and without factory air conditioning. With extra cooling (20 inch wide radiator). 3 sheave pulley (three fan belts), with pulleys having diameters of 4-7/16 inches and 5-7/8 inches. Ford casting number C6OE-8509-A, was probably an ink stamp. These pulleys were made using a double sheave C6AE-8509-A pulley with a second smaller pulley welded on.

C6AZ-8509-F With air conditioning. Power steering and or thermactor emissions possible. 2 sheaves or 2 fan belts with a diameter of about 5-5/16 inches. Ford casting number C6OE-8509-B.
