I removed my original rear lower valance to straighten it out a little. However it was covered with a lot of Bondo. I chose to order a new one. I ordered the premium which they recommend. The car is almost 50 years old and I was happy to just get one in better shape than what I had. When I was test fitting it, I did have to bend the inner brackets to get them to align with the mounting holes, I also had to Dremel out the holes a little bit to get them to align better. To me the part seemed a little bit short end to end, however if I was a good body repair man I'm sure it would be no problem to get a better fit. I am not a body repair man by any means. If your car has the bumper brackets, you will need to drill out the holes for it yourself. It is not a perfect fit but it is a pretty good fit all things considering. I would order this part again if needed. And look forward to doing more business with West Coast cougar.
