Both deluxe and standard use the same retractor in 1968 - 1969 and left is the same design as right. Grade "A" retractors will show no fading or cracks on the holster / retractor cover, good chrome buckle and may even still have the date code tag sewn in place. This is a complete set of Deluxe (chrome bands on buckles) safety belts removed from a 1969 hardtop minus torx bolt hardware. The set consists of two front retractors (they are not side specific) that measure 22" fully extended tip to tip, four lap belts bonded in pairs with the shoulder portion measuring 45" and the lap belt portion measuring 30" total length. Attractive reproduction of a very popular, over the counter Mercury dress-up accessory. The only Cougars that came from the factory with this real wood shifter were the 1970 Eliminator and 1968 XR7G. This sound deadener is comprised of one layer of tar sound deadener and a layer of Jute. This plastic cover was put in place to cover the void at the very top of the panel. They are side specific and the textured side is installed upwards, on the bottom side you will find the Ford engineering number C9ZB-7654607-A and are marked L.H. for the passenger side.
