These floor mats were available as part of the factory "protection package" or as a dealer accessory when these cars were new. Good used originals have gotten VERY hard to find. 1969 Standard Model Cougar temperature gauge. Different than the 1970 gauge, 1970 has the "Oil" and "Brakes" indicated without back lighting. 1969 shows no indication without back lighting. Perfect fit, easy to replace and will be a great upgrade over your original scratched and or pitted knob. To remove, reach behind the dash and locate the small, round spring loaded button on the top side of your headlight switch. These 1969 molded vinyl, single post head rests were never offered on a Cougar or Mustang to our knowledge but they make a great "go-around" for the very expensive 1968 dual post headrests. Pair of used wire anchors for keeping the rear most headliner bow stationary. These are fragile wires, and prone to rusting. We try to keep them in inventory. 1969-70 anchor wires are 3-1/16 inches long. A DIY person can improvise these pretty easy, using lengths of regular wire.

Contrary to what you might think at first glance, the support rods used in 1969 - 1970 Cougar headliners are not the same front to back. Each of the rods is bowed to a different curve. To replace a headliner and make it look right, you must keep the rods in the same order as they came out of the original headliner. 5 Rods total.
