C9WE-8600-A 5 blade clutch fan for Boss 302 Mercury Cougar Eliminator and Ford Mustang Boss2 cars built before 4-14-1969. 17-1/2 inches in diameter and has the 2-3/8 inch hole for the separate clutch. Single cylinder head from 1968-70 Mercury Cougar with 428CJ engine with smog holes. Sold as a core, needs thorough cleaning and rebuilding prior to use. Typically this cylinder head has 2.09 and 1.65 inch valves, and the chambers measure out at 73-76cc's. With stock pistons, these heads will net an approximate compression ration of 10.6:1. These were installed at the factory on 390 / 427 / 428 equipped cars that were exported to countries that did not require the smog system. They are much shorter than the over the Ford counter service plugs you see in the states that are put on after one removes the smog system.

Original NOS shroud with correct chocolate brown color and texture as what came on your Cougar the day it was made. The later shrouds sold by Ford were smooth, black and the "Barnum Fibre Co. Great addition to that show quality FE powered early Cougar. Unlike the reproduction this has the original part number, BARNUM BROS. FIBRE CO. INC. lettering and FoMoCo insignia at the top driver side. This was one of the last units out the door when FORD discontinued them in the 1990's.
