Installed the kit as-is, and found that the fan was not 1/2in/ 1/2out of the shroud. I spoke the WCCC team, including Don, who referenced all the fan clutches they had in stock. it was great that they had all the measurements for each of them. I exchanged the fan and fan clutch that came with the kit for the 10304 fan clutch(3" tall and 3" bolt pattern) and 10574 fan (3" bolt pattern), as the kit cam with the 3.25" fan bolt pattern. This fit perfectly in my installation. This combination is listed for the 390 engine.
Thank you Don and WCCC team for all the support!
Only other note is that this installation has the fan very tight to the shroud at the bottom at the main coolant line and transmission coolant line. Even the main coolant line clamp seems to push the shroud another mm up, and if I just let is sit there, the fan would touch the shroud. I pushed and pulled the shroud to flex it in this one area before locking it down with the 4 hold down bolts. This provided a thin carboard of clearance. Radiator is already sitting on the frame rails, so I saw no other way the gain space other than lifting the engine or cutting the shroud in this are. i think I managed to avoid both. I read others tried removing the radiator bracket rubber spacers, but that would not lower the radiator any for me.
