This is actually not correct for a 1968 but it is all that is available in reproduction. The 1968 front is actually the same 4 1/4" length as the rear. Many people prefer the longer version as it makes it easier to roll up. We do have good used 1968 front cranks for those who prefer to stay with original. The portion that attaches to the splined shaft on the window regulator protrudes from the back 3/16" (as shown on the left in the comparison picture) and will not clear the 71-73 door panels...

This is a good used original rear window crank with no obvious scratches or pitting. May or may not come with random colored knob. Ford called this part a 'sleeve'. Attaches to the lower shifter arm with a hitch pin. Has nice bushing, with correct nut, washer, and pin. The 1967/68 and 1969/73 versions are identical. These NOS sill plates always have some degree of shelf wear due to the many years they have been shuffled around. The biggest difference you will see with NOS vs. the two different levels of reproductions is the finish. The NOS parts are far less bright and less prone to showing hairline scratches. One other benefit is that NOS sill plates already have the FORD decal in place. Sold individually.

We recently did a side by side comparison of these so called "concours" sill plates and found very little difference when comparing them to the "economy" version...
