This group of parts mounts to the top of the AT shifter arm and rides against the thumb activated button on your T shift handle. Its function is to lift the cable that runs through the chrome shifter stem to lock and unlock the shifter out of Park. The Ford technical name for this part is 'Roller - Shift Lever Lock'. Allen head set screw for all stock Ford automatic shifter handles on any 1967-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford including Mustang. Uses the same 3/32 inch allen wrench for attaching as the originals. Most handles take two of these set screws, one on the dummy button, and one to attach to the top of the shifter lever. The 1973 all chrome shift handle only uses one of these set screws. For use with factory and reproduction console parts on a 1968 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Plugs into your existing console wiring harness. Double male plug is 1968 only. Sold without light bulb. The supplier says this replaces Ford part number C7ZZ-15A808-B but that is incorrect as the Ford part number for 68 is C8ZZ-15A808-B. To use this on a 67 the plug would have to be changed to a male / female combo plug.

This aluminum backed, tar sound deadener with adhesive is approximately 1/16 of an inch thick and works well behind door panels, at the firewall and under the headliner as a sound, heat and vapor barrier. This is the plastic center piece you press down to release your seat belt on the 68 - 72 seat belts. It comes unbroken and without cracks. This button piece has original decal with starburst design. Spring is included. Check out our video "All about seat belts" below.

Large seat track spring for the latch. Used about 6-1/2 inches long, and about 9/16" thick.  Listed for bucket seats 1965-1970 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Likely fits other Ford seats, has a 1960 Falcon part number. Ford part number C0DZ-6461883-A.

This gives the thumb release button in your T shaped shift handle its tension. If it is rusted then your button will not return back to its outer position easily. Fits 1967-73 Mercury Cougar and 1965-73 Ford Mustang. Technically this spring fits all Ford and Mercury floor shifters 1965-73. Ford part number C5ZZ-7C300-A. The MPC shows this spring to have a free length of 2-1/16 inches.

This clip is the same as a door panel clip with the exception that it does not have the foam spacer. This clip was used on the 1968 XR7 overhead console, 1967 - 1968 xr7 and standard model upper and lower console pads, seat back access panels and several other applications. This original clip holds tighter than the reproduction. We recommend using this used clip over our reproduction for applications like the seat back because the reproductions often do not cut it. Fits 1968 Standard or XR7

Many of our customers have asked and requested how we clean and detail our parts. We use a combination of items, mostly fine steel wool and elbow grease. Cleans haze, crud, and years of oxidation and water spots from glass, aluminum, chrome, and rubber. 

Fixed steering column from a 1968 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Reasonably rust free column, collapsible style. Ships as shown in picture. Often we will leave the turn signal switch in place but you should count on it being non functional. Two piece collapsible shafts have tiny plastic pins these often breake due to age or handling. This is a restored 1968 steering wheel that is correct for all but the later production, standard interior equipped 1968 Cougars. Only the XR7 & XR7G received the woodgrain center section, the decor and standard interior equipped Cougars received a color coded to the wheel vinyl insert. Good used wheel with no cracks but will show wear on the woodgrained fascia. We usually have several wheels for $20-$100 more and $20-$100 less than the wheel pictured here. Most are black in color but we do have a few colored wheels. Call for the many details and options. Check out this video

B grade pad has shrunk to the point that the center section will not fit well and you may have to file some of the plastic away for a proper fit, it will be curling a little at the top where it meets the wheel and overall will be rather hard from UV exposure. Additionally, it may show some signs of wear to the texture of the graining. If you state your preference in the comments section we will try to accommodate you on color.

This is the 1968 Cougar visor bracket. Not an exact match for 1971 - 1973, but will work. The hole spacing and distance from the windshield is identical to that on the 71-73, the bracket is just 1/8" longer on the side that actually holds the visor tip.
