This tubular support gives rigidity to your hood extension which houses your center grille. These are hard to find with no bends or cracks due to the fact that the 1970 hood protrudes in the center.1 required per car.

Unlike the 1968 Cougar headlight switch, the 1967 and 1971-73 version does not have the three vacuum ports connected to it. Don't be fooled . . . Most vendors will sell you a Mustang switch and tell you it is the same. Visually it may look the same but internally it has a circuit breaker designed for a two headlight system, the Cougar has four headlights. Used headlight switch for the Mercury Cougar. This original FoMoCo unit was tested and will hold 13 pounds of vacuum. The spacer (which is specific to 1969) is not included with this unit, but you can get it right here. Ford part # C9WB-11652-B.

This is a tested original FoMoCo headlight switch that will work, there is no warranty. The primary reason we list these old used switches is that some people are missing their switch altogether and need the beveled cup shaped spacer that mates to the dash. As pointed out in our listing for the reproduction headlight switch, the spacer is not included with our new units. Ford part # D0WB-11652.

Quality "STANDARD" brand reproduction switch for your vacuum actuated hideaway headlights. This switch fits multiple years and makes which means multiple dash configurations. You will need to "break off" your unique extension and attach it to this unit. Good used pair of taillights that includes two average grade "B" bezels and two used grade "B" lenses with backing plates. No obvious cracks in the lenses but there will be stress cracks that will only be found under close inspection. Sold individually, two required per car. This is the same as the 1970 bracket, just different design of clips are used.

This bracket attaches the vacuum storage tank for your headlights to the core support inside the driver fender. It differs from the 1967 bracket in that an oval hole was put in it to allow the socket and pigtail assembly for the side marker light to pass through the bracket located closest to the fender. 1969 uses the exact same bracket except for a slightly different clip design. 1970 Mercury Cougar hideaway headlight vacuum tank installation brackets (pair) with fasteners. Two different styles of installation brackets for the 1970 vacuum tank found inside the driver side fender. These are tall brackets, the other style utilized 1967 brackets with round spacers.

All parts needed are included to mount your 1970 vacuum storage tank to the core support (backside) under the driver fender. Solid, good original parts found on a Western donor Cougar. Includes short brackets with correct clips, 4 spacers, 4 long bolts with washers, and 4 shorter hex bolts. Typically this kit was used for installing the vacuum tanks until Nov 1969, it is much more convenient to use the more common later kit for the 1970 tank installation.
