These hard rubber bump strips attach to the front bumper guards with 2 studs from the back side. Extreme care is needed prior to attempting to remove them. If you force the nut from the backside you will dislodge the stud from the rubber. For best results use a small wire brush on the studs first and soak liberally with a product like PB Blaster. This one in, one out design was unique to the early 1967 Cougar for the headlights. Also found on vacuum controlled options like the 1967 Mustang Cougar tilt / tilt-away steering column. This is a good used unit that has been tested and found to hold vacuum well. This valve is located a few inches behind the carburetor.

This check valve is located in-line just behind your carburetor. To test it simply place it in your lips and try blowing through the side with the single port. You should be able to breath in and not breath out. If this valve is bad you will find the headlights opening up after the engine has been shut off on your 1969 - 1970 Cougars and your tilt away function not working correctly on your 1967 - 1970 Cougars equipped with a tilt column. Used 1968 Mercury Cougar GT-E horizontal grille bar clip or keeper for the center grille section. This is a rare find, limited to stock on hand.

This clip looks just like the larger quarter extension moulding / trim moulding clip, but is smaller (as our comparison picture shows). One clip per side is used to attach the tail end (smaller end) of the moulding / trim to the extension. This unit is also almost exactly the same as the rear deck / trunk lid moulding / trim clip, but this quarter extension clip has a slightly shorter stud.
