This is a tension spring that defaults the steering wheel to up and or tilt away position. New Old Stock 1967-68 Mercury Cougar and 1966-68 Ford Mustang clutch release fork to equalizer spring. Upper clutch equalizer to firewall, 289 and 302 engines. This unit will also work for 1969-70 Cougar and has the correct spring hook orientation. 66 - 68 Ford specs: 3-1/16" Long 40 Coils 69 - 70 Ford specs: 3-1/8" Long 36 Coils Ford part #: C6ZZ-7591-A.

Used steering column flange bumper for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang equipped with the tilt / tilt away steering column. This little unit is made of plastic and Ford used it to keep the tilt / tilt away steering column's flanges in the knuckle assembly from breaking its self apart during actuation. This is the closed cell foam cover for your power steering lines to keep them from getting scuffed, and they repel oil quite well too. These are always disintegrating on the older cars and need replacement after 40 years of service. this line length can be cut to fit easily on a split line like the Cougar. This is the 1968 Cougar visor bracket. Not an exact match for 1971 - 1973, but will work. The hole spacing and distance from the windshield is identical to that on the 71-73, the bracket is just 1/8" longer on the side that actually holds the visor tip. Used strap or support bracket for the foam air conditioning vent tube going to the driver side A/C vent. The electrical assembly manual indicates that this strap bracket behind the dash on the driver side. Our findings from the wrecking yard show that 1967 is typically rubber coated, 1968 is bare steel. This support bracket mounts to the lowest portion of the quarter window cavity. This bracket is installed before the lower guide bracket. Fits all 1971-73 Mercury Cougar models and 1971-73 Ford Mustang models including fastback or sport roof models.
