Driver side metal trim part that that runs along the interior roof edge and connects the "A" pillar plastic moulding to the rear window (quarter window) moulding on the inside. Bolt that goes through the air pump mounting bracket. Pump rotates on this bolt. Bolt size 3/8"-16 x 4.50" long.

Bolt that goes through the air pump mounting bracket, effectively hanging the alternator down low. Alternator rotates on this bolt. Bolt size 7/16"-14 x 3.75" long.

This is an OEM original with 3/8"-16 threads. Overall length according to the MPC is 9 inches, with 3-1/4 inches being threaded but we have found almost without fail, the actual length is 8" with 3 1/4" of threads. We also carry the OEM hold down wing nut or spinner nut Mercury Cougar part number B9AZ-1462-A. Additionally, look for the wheel centering plate or disc, part number C5ZZ-1424-A. Item for sale in this section is only the J-bolt.

For all 1968 Cougar trunks to mount the spare tire. Total length according to the MPC is 9.75 inches, with 4 inches of threads on the end. We have found that the overall length is 8 inches with 3-1/4 inches of threads. Basically the same J- bolt as found on 1967 Mercury Cougars but with the thicker, 1/2-13 threads. As we research more we will post our results here. Would love to get specs on J-bolts from those of you with low mile and very original cars.

For all 1969 Mercury Cougar trunks. The MPC lists the correct length as 8-3/4 inches in total length, with 4 inches of the end being threaded but we have found without fail them to be about 10 3/4" with about 3" of threads. I say "about because some have a blunt end while other versions have a tappered end which will add about 1/8" to the length. Those threads are 1/2-13.

1971 - 1973 Mercury Cougar hard tops and coupes with regular steel wheels and hub caps. J bolt total length listed in MPC is 8-3/4 inches, with 6-1/2 inches threaded on the straight end but we find the actual length to be 10" long with about 4" of threads. We also see this used with the 1971 - 1973 Kelsey Hayes Styled Steel wheel even though the MPC lists another size. There are absolutley to absolutes when it comes to items like these and what Ford "may" have called for. Would love to hear...

This reproduction Bendix spacer bracket is mounted to the rear of the brake booster on the 69 - 70 Cougar and Mustang. These spacer brackets sometimes come up missing from some booster rebuilders. If you get a booster that has a piece of plate steel and spacers in place of this stamped steel bracket it is a go around (homemade). This plate differs from original in that the holes are smaller than factory so they will need to be enlarged and there is no relief spacing for the input rod dust boot...

Steel plate for mounting the door pull or grab handle on 1967-68 Mercury Cougar XR7. Right and left is dependent upon which way the nylon inserts are installed. Comes complete as shown with nylon inserts for attaching the door pulls. The screws with 1/2 inch flat head for mounting this plate to the doors are also a available (three required).

There is not a special part number for this angled cup that was originally spot welded to the front of the headlamp switch. We offer these for use with our reproduction headlamp switch. This kit includes the 4 fine threaded "T" shaped studs (with nuts) that mount the backing plate to the spindle and the plate that goes on the inside of the backing plate. These are used parts that are not damaged or corroded, taken from a Western parts car.
