    There is not a special part number for this angled cup that was originally spot welded to the front of the headlamp switch. We offer these for use with our reproduction headlamp switch. This adapter or retainer is needed to correctly keep the headlamp switch at the correct angle to the lower metal dash. 1969-70 Mercury Cougar.

    How do you fasten this back on the switch assembly? Do you drill the welds out to get this item off?

    You can either drill them out, or use a chisel to break the spot welds, then simply use a bit of JB Weld to hold back onto the new switch.
