1970 Ford Mustang

Fan spacer, measuring 2-1/8 inches. Application includes 1971 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with 429CJ engines. Reference number YA-83.Ford part # C8SE-8546-B, Ford engineering # C8SZ-8546-D.

New replacement J-nut or they are sometimes called U-nuts. These clip into those square holes in the fender aprons for fastening the fenders on 1967-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. These clips are 5/8 inches from the hole center to folded edge. We also see the same clips with 27/32 inch spacing for fender mounting. Numerous other uses, we find this clip on the hidden headlight buckets on 1967-68 Cougar and XR7's.

Set of nuts and Ferrules for thermactor smog tubes on any 1967 S code 390, 1968 390GT, 1968 GT-E 427-4V, or 1968-70 428 Cobra Jet engines. Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang, Torino, Cyclone, Ranchero, etc. These will work with original or reproduction smog tubes. Fits most FE engine applications that used the air pump smog system in 1968 with manual transmission. We also have the smog tubes and other hardware.

Tall style filter for C4 transmissions.  Fits all Ford C4 transmissions for any 1966-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with that W code C-4 transmission. This is designated as the 'tall' filter, introduced in 1965. I guess that Ford installed a deeper pan in 1965? Solid metal construction with filter inside.

These correct floor pan patches are for the 1969-70 convertible and do not have drain plugs like the 1967-68 panels. These are made from a really rigid steel and do not easily bend or dent easily like many of the offshore pans you find on the market. These 20 gauge panels are 24" long and 15 1/4" wide. Great for the person doing a "correct" restoration on their 1969-70 Cougar / Mustang / Shelby.

Used OEM Ford 428 Cobra Jet manual transmission flywheel. Stamped C8OE-A. Needs a ring gear, has chipped teeth. No visible issues, no discoloration from heat. Ford 428CJ only, not for 428 SUPER COBRA JET engines. This flywheel on a 428CJ is externally balanced. Should have 184 ring gear teeth.Ford part number C8OE-6380-A.

Reproduction inner floor frame rail patch for the Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang coupe and convertible. As this item is for a Mustang, you will find that you will have to modify it to work with your Cougar. This unit measures 28" long where the Cougar piece is 19". This unit is a 1/4" wider than the Cougar piece as well.

Reproduction front seal for the Bendix brake booster used on all 69 - 70 Cougars and Mustangs as well as many other FoMoCo products that use this size of Bendix booster. This seal prevents brake fluid from entering the booster cavity once the master cylinder fails.

Used vented fuel, or gas cap as installed on 1967-69 Mercury Cougar and 1970 cars without California emissions. Also fits 1969-70 Shelby Mustang. In 1970 California required a non-vented fuel cap. This version does have a check valve, one way vented. This is probably a service replacement fuel cap. This is a used fuel door insert we have cleaned up, painted the background black and installed a 1967-1969 headlight door walking cat emblem on. The original 1970 ELIMINATOR piece that this resembles had a smaller sized cat so this is not exactly correct for your original 1970 Eliminator.

This is the OE steel tube that goes from the Ford Holley carburetor to the Carter X fuel pump. Used in-tank, fuel sending unit without the low fuel option. Tested and cleaned units for all 1970 Mercury Standard model Cougars and all Ford Mustangs with 20 or 22 gallon fuel tanks. This used fuel / gas tank shows small dents on the underside but the top side is perfect and the inside has no corrosion. This tank would be good for "splitting" and combining this good used upper half with a reproduction lower half. We recommend converting to the non-evaporative 1970, 49 state tank, unless concours is desired. Conversion requires 1970, 49 state style filler neck and filler hose. If you find that this tube has too small of fittings for your OEM 4150 / 4160 Holley carburetor than what has happened is that someone has replaced your transfer tube and fittings with one of the after-market kits available at speed shops. This is the ONLY correct transfer tube for a Cougar equipped with a Holley from 1967 - 1970.  Ford part # C9AZ-9H576-A.

C8OZ-14A033-C Brass clip with accessory terminal for attaching the accessory lead wire with multi connector. Missing attaching screw and nut. Attaches to all 1969-73 fuse blocks found on Mercury Cougars and Ford Mustangs. Accessory feed terminal for such things as 1969 swing away steering column, rear window defogger, speed or cruise control, etc. Includes fuse block mounting hardware.*Note - Naked, no machine screw and nut for mounting to fuse block. 

This short section of wiring attaches to the terminal post on the starter solenoid that faces towards the firewall. The other end is a female plug that incorporates a fusible link. If your switch were to get stuck or the frame got in a bind with continued power being applied this is the portion that would blow saving you from a costly wiring "melt-down". This same part was used on both XR7 and standard Cougars with a power sunroof or convertible top.

Made from closed cell foam, as opposed to the originals being rubber.* Note - Used starting during the later part of 1969. Compare the evaporator line orientation for both years.

Good used grommet that seals the heater hoses and A/C lines where they pass through the firewall on the passenger side. This part will not have any missing "chunks" but will show hairline cracks most evident where the heater core tubes pass through. Taken from a 1970 Cougar. Reproduction 3/8" fuel line to side apron grommet for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang.Replaces Ford part # C7ZZ-9288.

Used firewall grommet for the under dash harness. This grommet is actually part of the actual wiring harness, but every once in a while we have bad harnesses that we "part out" for pigtails or items such as this.    

These are reproduction heater hose grommets for the heater hose to pass through the firewall. Most of the firewalls that we have seen have a flared opening for the hose without a grommet. These are a more dense rubber than our other versions. Still not sure that they are needed?

Hard to find little detail item that is often times missing and is correct for Ford Mustang as well.
