1970 Mercury Cougar hideaway headlight vacuum tank installation brackets (pair) with fasteners. Two different styles of installation brackets for the 1970 vacuum tank found inside the driver side fender. These are tall brackets, the other style utilized 1967 brackets with round spacers.

All parts needed are included to mount your 1970 vacuum storage tank to the core support (backside) under the driver fender. Solid, good original parts found on a Western donor Cougar. Includes short brackets with correct clips, 4 spacers, 4 long bolts with washers, and 4 shorter hex bolts. Typically this kit was used for installing the vacuum tanks until Nov 1969, it is much more convenient to use the more common later kit for the 1970 tank installation.

This 1 1/16" long aluminum spacer was used between the vacuum storage tank and vacuum storage tank brackets. Four required per car, sold individually.

Headlamp center shaft actuator rod clips. Sold individually, two clips needed, one on each side of the shaft. Not really needed, probably kept the shaft ends from moving during installation. We have found two different sizes of these clips. No pattern between 1969 and 1970.

Ford part number C9WY-6510198-A. This is the metal rocker moulding clip that attaches the front and rear of the mouldings to the car in 1969 (except the Sport Special which only has them on the rear). In 1970 a Phillips screw held the rear end of the rocker moulding to the quarter panel on each side so just the fronts of the mouldings used these clips in 1970. Faded but good used emblem with aluminum foil background. If you push on the swedged aluminum studs from the backside these will easily remove. The standard grill emblem with a walking cat uses the same stud configuration as XR7 so you can exchange emblems from one to another.
