    This stainless steel driver side top of the door moulding or upper horizontal door trim was used for 69 - 70 Mercury Cougar XR7 models, including convertible, but is a nice upgrade for a standard Cougar.

    At this time, it is best to send in your "A" grade cores and have your own moulding / trim pieces restored. Our supply of "A" grade used moulding / trim is very low.

    After 30 days, core refunds will be given as in store credit that is equal to the core charge amount.

    *NOTE* The use of this XR7 unique moulding / trim requires the use of different belt-line weather strips than that of the standard, Eliminator models. If you have questions about your cores, checkout our video below.

    Do not send us pretzel shaped parts, parts you have attempted to fix yourself, or flattened out parts. We need trim parts showing only MINOR dents, dings, dullness, or scratches.

    How does this trim piece attach to the door? I put the new beltline strip on it no problem. Do I have to remove the glass in order to screw the assembly to the door?

    you will need to remove the rubber stop at the very bottom of the door so that the window will slide down an extra inch or so, so that you can use a handheld screwdriver to attach the screws.
