Reproduction rag joint for the fixed steering column in the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. This assembly is for the fixed column only and will not work for the tilt / tilt away steering column. Our reproduction rag joint comes assembled with the lower splined casting.

Larger sized retainer that screws to upper front lip near the quarter glass on all 1969-70 Mercury Cougar hardtops and 1970 Ford Mustang coupes. Driver side seat back release assembly, can me used for a conversion of 1970 high-backed seat backs for use in 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator and Ford Mustang Mach 1. Both deluxe and standard use the same retractor in 1968 - 1969 and left is the same design as right. Grade "A" retractors will show no fading or cracks on the holster / retractor cover, good chrome buckle and may even still have the date code tag sewn in place. This is a complete set of Deluxe (chrome bands on buckles) safety belts removed from a 1969 hardtop minus torx bolt hardware. The set consists of two front retractors (they are not side specific) that measure 22" fully extended tip to tip, four lap belts bonded in pairs with the shoulder portion measuring 45" and the lap belt portion measuring 30" total length. Attractive reproduction of a very popular, over the counter Mercury dress-up accessory. The only Cougars that came from the factory with this real wood shifter were the 1970 Eliminator and 1968 XR7G.
