Reproduction lower rear window channel patch panel for the Mercury Cougar. It is fairly common for the rear window channel area to develop rust, especially with vinyl topped cars. *NOTE* If you are going to install this part on a Cougar with a vinyl top, you will have to drill holes for the vinyl top moulding / trim.

Original used FoMoCo lower rear window channel which we will cut to suit your needs. Quite often vinyl tops will cause rust in this area and this cut is from a rust free Western parts car. If you need the package tray attached there is no extra charge but shipping costs will increase. We usually cut generous into the quarters and several inches up the sides of the rear glass. These are bolted to the rear frame rails and were used to tie the car down to the transporter for the journey from the factory to the dealer. The dealer was supposed to remove them and return them for a credit as instructed by the dealer. Notice the sticker on the rear license plate frame (decal is available in the decal section)? Many sets slipped through as the dealers often forgot or did not deem the small credit back worth their effort to remove. These are great for transporting your car...

Most often the problem with our Grade "B" deck / trunk lids is rust under the lip. We have some "B" rated deck / trunk lids with dents on the top side and no rust, so call 503-463-1130 if you have a preference. We do not sell "rotted out" deck / trunk lids. Like the deck / trunk lid shown here you will be able to sand blast it and treat the rust so as to prevent it from spreading.
