This is the factory Ford remote trunk latch as used on luxury cars such as Thunderbird or Lincoln. As you can see from the photo, they are made (and install) exactly like our Cougar trunk latches, but with the addition of a release tab. Used Carter fuel pump lever. From Carter made fuel pump as installed on Ford 352, 390, 410, 427, 428CJ FE engines. Many of the Carter "X" fuel pumps with screw together rebuildable pumps often times have Ford small block levers. Housings are he same. Keep in mind that if you have the original motor mounts in your 1967 with a 289 or 1969-1970 convertible these mounts will not work. Nobody sells motor mounts for them, period. This is contrary to what every auto parts store will tell you.
