This product is an NOS Part.
NOS items are OEM parts from Ford that have been sitting on shelves or in warehouses for years. These are often great examples of the orignal parts, but they may have scratches or other shelf wear.
However be aware that some NOS parts are "service replacement" parts. "Service replacement" parts are not exact replacements of the parts that were installed at the factory, but are what Ford considered as "good enough" and were used at Ford dealerships after the original supply of parts was exhausted.

New old stock Bendix master cylinder for 1968-69 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with factory power disc brakes. This is a Bendix manufactured MC with proper 2227161 number and stop bolt on the bottom. Also has the dimple forward of the front brake line.
Includes a new cap with diaphragm as shown. The cap is not assembly line correct as this is a service replacement part.
*Note even though this is a brand new unit, it should be tested for leaks prior to installation. Things happen when left on the shelf for 50 years.
